I specialise in handstitching leather goods.

I’m a quiet but pretty passionate environmentalist and love all things recycled and close-loop. So everything I make has either been refined from exisiting silver and gold or I’ve melted down your old jewellery to make you something new.

Do you always have a minimum of 8 cards on you? Well, it’s your lucky day because this beast of a wallet has a whopping 10 card slots, 4 on either side and an extra-large one behind each 4.
It’s made out of solid Kangaroo leather and hand-stitched with tough nylon thread.
It’s also stitched all the way around for extra strength.

Leather is a natural product and unlike a lot of other leather manufacturers who throw away any piece of leather that isn't 'perfect,' we believe in using every piece of leather to try and throw out as little as possible(we even use the smallest pieces of leather to make earrings, watch straps and rings). In fact, we think that one of the best things about leather is that it isn't perfect and that it has scars, tanning and dye marks which makes every piece we make truly unique and one of a kind. If you would prefer that your order doesn't have any makes please let us know and we will send you a photo of your order before we post it to make sure you are happy with it.

I’m Aaron and I’m the maker behind The Local Craftsman. Everything you see on my site has been handmade by either me or my wife. I got into leatherwork just after high school and have been practising and honing my craft since then. Kathleen has been making jewellery since she was in school, her passion for making jewellery started after began working with a jeweller after school hours. Custom Leather Phone Case for iPhone, Samsung and Android Phones.
Each phone case is custom built for you out of Australian Tanned Kangaroo Leather and Hand-stitched on the south coast of Australia.
Once you click buy, I will buy a silicon case for you and once it arrives (takes around a week) I will start making the case so the process time is around 2-3 weeks.
The Base Model Includes:

Made from thick hand-ripped textured drawing paper (110gsm) and Australian cowhide this journal not only looks good but will age beautifully as you use it.
The pages are directly sewn into the journal and the wrap around lace provides a secure and rustic look.
The medium option can also be made refillable so that it will fit most A5 notebooks. It will have a standard lined notebook in it.
The medium is A5 and has 160pages
The small is A6 and has 160 pages

Looking for a thick durable vegetable-tanned leather belt? Sick of those crappy $10 belts with the so-called “leather” that flakes off after a couple of months? Or weeks?
Then this is the belt for you.
Hand cut from the sturdiest 3.5mm Australian cowhide (tanned in Victoria), with lines marked along the sides it not only looks good but it will last for years.
These brass rivets are Chicago screws and can be unscrewed so you can swap out the buckle and loops as you please.
Please follow the picture on how to measure your belt before ordering.
Then this is the belt for you. Hand cut from the sturdiest 3.5mm Australian cowhide (tanned in Victoria), it not only looks good but it will last for years.

Notes:
If you don’t currently have a belt to measure off, you can use your pant size
We offer free exchanges if you belt doesn't fit and is unmarked, just send it back to us and we will send you a bigger or smaller belt.
Warranty:
If your belt ever breaks just let us know and we will fix it or replace it. So far my first handmade belt is 8 years old and is still going strong.
