🧵 Craft Your Own Leather Journal Cover

Spend a relaxed afternoon learning the timeless skill of leathercraft while creating a beautiful and functional A5 journal cover from genuine Australian cowhide.

This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone who enjoys making with their hands. You’ll be guided step-by-step through the process of selecting leather, cutting, stitching, and customising your cover with embossing and optional hardware.

By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a professionally finished leather journal cover that you will last a lifetime and the skills to make more in future.

👨‍🏫 Workshop Details

Aaron is a full-time leather worker with years of experience and a passion for teaching traditional skills in a relaxed and friendly setting. This small group workshop is held outdoors under cover in Merimbula at his home studio and is designed to be a calm, creative afternoon.

All skill levels are welcome—no experience needed.

🕒 Workshop Timeline – 3-Hour Adult Leather Class

12:00 PM – 12:15 PM
Welcome & introduction to tools, materials, and leather types

12:15 PM – 1:15 PM
Cutting leather, learning stitching techniques, customising with initials or patterns

1:15 PM – 1:30 PM
Tea break and chat

1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Final stitching, edge finishing, and optional snap button hardware installatio
