🧒 Kids Leather Class – Make a Pocket Knife Pouch
Date: Monday 7th July 2025
Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Cost: $40 per child
Duration: 3 hours
Location: Merimbula, NSW (address provided upon booking)
Ages: Suitable for ages 10 and up
Class Size: Limited to 8 participants
🧵 Learn Leathercraft & Create Something Beautiful
In this hands-on school holiday workshop, kids will learn how to make their very own Pocket Knife Pouch from real Australian cowhide leather. With a fun and practical design, this small pouch will be customised to fit the pocket knife they bring.
There will be a few sizes and templates available to fit most pocket knives, leathers and folding knives.
Children will get to choose their leather, punch holes, and hand-stitch their leather using traditional tools—building skills, confidence, and creativity along the way.
This is NOT for open blades knives. ONLY for small folding knives.
🛠 What’s Included
All materials and tools provided
Guided instruction by local leather artisan Aaron
Use of different leather
A finished Pocket knife pouch to take home and use

Parents are encouraged to stay and learn along with their children
Held in a safe, outdoor under-cover workshop setting

Welcome & introduction to tools and materials
9:45 AM – 10:00 AM
Cutting and shaping leather pieces for the pocket knife.
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Punching holes and learning basic stitching techniques
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Break time – snacks, jump on trampoline and and play in the outdoor space
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Stitching, adding hardware, and finishing touches
