🧒 Kids Leather Class – Make Your Leather Journal
Date: Tuesday 8th July 2025
Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Cost: $45 per child
Duration: 3 hours
Location: Merimbula, NSW (address provided upon booking)
Ages: Suitable for ages 8 and up
Class Size: Limited to 8 participants
🧵 Learn Leathercraft & Create Something Beautiful
In this hands-on school holiday workshop, kids will learn how to make their very own Leather Journal from real Australian cowhide leather. With a fun and practical design that they can use to make their own journal whenever they want.
Children will get to choose their leather, bind the pages to the leather cover and stamp their name into it using traditional tools—building skills, confidence, and creativity along the way.
🛠 What’s Included
All materials and tools provided
Guided instruction by local leather artisan Aaron
Use of different leather
A finished journal to take home and use

Aaron holds a current Working With Children Check: WWC1136710E
Parents are encouraged to stay and learn along with their children
Held in a safe, outdoor under-cover workshop setting

9:30 AM – 9:45 AM
Welcome & introduction to tools and materials
9:45 AM – 10:00 AM
Intro to journal making and how they can customise it
10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Learning basic stitching techniques and how to bind the pages to the leather
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Break time – snacks, jump on trampoline and and play in the outdoor space
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Stitching, adding hardware (snap button), and finishing touches
